Mystery knitting

Hello all,

It has been a super busy week here, but today I reached a milestone. I finished my PhD thesis! Tomorrow I am going to print it all out (272 pages) and then hand it in. This has been 3.5 years in the making so it is very momentous for me. My PhD isn’t quite over, I still have to defend a viva (interview/ questioning about my work) and then do corrections following that. But this is a huge step in the right direction.

To celebrate I joined a mystery knit a long. That is where a new clue is released each week (6 weeks total). I started last night and I am currently on clue number 2. Here is what I made yesterday (clue 1). Isn’t it cute? It is a little rain hat and some some wellington boots.

Here it is again with the two colours for the body. The one on the left is the main colour, and the one on the right is the contrast. I am guessing some kind of reptile/ amphibian but I am not sure yet.

If you want to join in the fun, the pattern is by Barbara Prime (aka Fuzzymitten) and the link to the pattern on raverly can be found here.

I hope you all had lovely weekends. I will be back soon with some sewing news and some knitting!
